Holidays upon us!

So, my blog got off to a slow start. That's okay :) I have been uber busy since the harvest festival. And, I'm gearing up for the Christmas stroll in less than two weeks! My etsy shop has kept me busy too! So, one of the excuses I've had for not blogging is that it takes too long to photograph my WIPs. So, I'm blogging today without a picture of my actual Work In Progress. But, Here's my ispiration:
This woman crocheted this dress for her wedding! How creative! Check out the full story here: http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2010/05/27/california-mountain-elopement/

Now, she is super talented and inspiring! So, I have decided to make one myself! My ten year anniversary is coming up in exactly 18 months and 19 days! Okay, okay. I know you're thinking, "Wow, what an overachiever." But this woman waited until three weeks before her wedding and crocheted like crazy until the very day of her wedding! Don't want to do that. And, besides...we all know that 18 months is like tomorrow in crochet time...and in baby time...Two time frames that rule my life lately!!!

I'll post my progress pictures later.

I'm also working on writing out my very first pattern that will be available for purchase on my etsy shop! It's for crochet fingerless gloves--Functional is fantastic!!

Pictures and updates to come soon :)

Living, Breathing, Crocheting!

So, I'm gearing up for my town's annual Harvest Festival, where I'm going to have a booth showcasing my items and I'll also be doing Caricatures. So I have so many Works In Progress right now, I can't list them all! Here's one I started yesterday:

I found the pattern and modified it a little to make a smaller square. I'm thinking of making a scarf.
For the actual pattern, follow this link: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showpost.php?p=2025349&postcount=1

Another WIP:

Did I mention that I'm terrible about tying in ends as I go?
So, I think I'm just going to attach these leaves to a naked branch and put them in a vase for decoration at my booth. I'll post pictures after the festival.

And, of course, my caricatures:

Will post more after Saturday :)
